On Wednesday, the House Education and Workforce Committee held a markup on multiple bills to limit foreign influence in American education. The Committee voted to advance the Defending Education Transparency and Ending Rogue Regimes Engaging in Nefarious Transactions (DETERRENT) Act, legislation I introduced with Congressman Baumgartner.

On Wednesday, the House Education and Workforce Committee held its first hearing under my leadership to evaluate the State of American Education.

On Monday, I was proud to witness the 60th Presidential Inauguration and see President Donald J. Trump take the oath of office.

This week, the first bill under the purview of the Education and Workforce Committee passed the House, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.

Last week, I was sworn in as a member of the 119th Congress. Please know I consider it an honor and privilege to continue to represent Michigan's 5th Congressional District.

2024 has been another busy year. I've continued visiting communities across southern Michigan in each of the ten counties of Michigan's 5th District.
