My office offers internship opportunities to qualified college students and individuals during the fall, winter, spring, and summer. While these internships are unpaid, working in a congressional office allows interns a unique experience and excellent networking opportunities. Students will have the ability to serve people and simultaneously learn about the Federal Legislative Branch of our government and its interactions with other federal agencies. It is also an excellent choice for those who are interested in political science, public service, history, communications, or foreign affairs; however, individuals with other interests are welcome to apply. This is a full or part-time, unpaid internship, with flexible start and end dates. If applicable, our office is also willing to work with your university to provide college credit.
Interns will be asked to assist with a variety of administrative, legislative and constituent service projects; including: conducting legislative research, attend congressional hearings, data entry, track daily communications, lead visitors on tours of the United States Capitol, and other special projects. Applicants should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work courteously in a team environment.
