America’s foreign adversaries are increasingly targeting our nation’s students through tactics like stealing research, pushing propaganda, censoring free speech, and exerting influence on colleges and universities.

This week, I introduced the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act, which would prevent the EPA from implementing any future vehicle emissions regulations that would mandate certain technologies or limit the availability of vehicles based upon engine type.

On Tuesday night, President Trump outlined his bold and positive vision for America. Over the first 6 weeks of his second term, the Trump administration has been working quickly to put Americans first and deliver common sense solutions to undo the failed policies of the Biden-Harris administration.

This week, I partnered with Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party to call on the leaders of Eastern Michigan University, Oakland University, and the University of Detroit Mercy to end their schools' partnerships with Chinese universities.

On Wednesday, the House Education and Workforce Committee held a markup on multiple bills to limit foreign influence in American education. The Committee voted to advance the Defending Education Transparency and Ending Rogue Regimes Engaging in Nefarious Transactions (DETERRENT) Act, legislation I introduced with Congressman Baumgartner.

On Wednesday, the House Education and Workforce Committee held its first hearing under my leadership to evaluate the State of American Education.

On Monday, I was proud to witness the 60th Presidential Inauguration and see President Donald J. Trump take the oath of office.
