On Thursday, House Republicans passed historic legislation to deliver relief to the American people. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act would restore fiscal responsibility, make vital investments in our communities, and prevent the largest tax hike in American history by permanently extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017.

Honoring Law Enforcement 

During this National Police Week, we honored our nation's law enforcement officers who have given their lives in the line of duty, including Hillsdale County Sheriff's Deputy William Henry Butler Jr. Deputy Butler was tragically killed last year while assisting a fellow officer during a traffic stop. His name was added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial wall, and he was honored at a candlelight vigil in the Capitol Building.

Robert Vieira Meeting
I had the opportunity to meet with Robert Vieira, a constituent of mine who was wrongfully detained in Tunisia for over a year. My team of caseworkers and I had coordinated with the Trump administration to help secure his release and safely bring him back home.
