Rep Tim Walberg voted today in favor of H.R. 4480, the Domestic Energy and Jobs Act. The legislation is an all-of-the-above American energy plan that will help job creators by embracing domestic energy production, reining in burdensome regulations and planning for America’s future energy production. The bill passed by a bipartisan vote of 248 to 163.

Today, Rep Walberg voted for H.R. 1775, the Stolen Valor Act, which would make it a crime for anyone to knowingly benefit financially from lying about military service, records or awards.

"Our nation's servicemen and women deserve our highest respect and gratitude for the sacrifices they make in exchange for our freedom. One way to show our appreciation is through medals and decorations. Another is to make sure that those who misrepresent their service for personal gain are held accountable. The Stolen Valor Act accomplishes both," commented Rep Walberg following the vote.

Today, Rep Tim Walberg voted in favor of H.R. 6213, the No More Solyndras Act. The legislation would phase out the Department of Energy's mismanaged loan guarantee program and provide added taxpayer protections to existing applications. Solyndra was a California-based solar panel manufacturer that went bankrupt after receiving a $535 million loan guarantee from the Department of Energy under the 2009 stimulus law.

Rep Tim Walberg presented Private First Class Frank P. Durkee's family with a posthumous Purple Heart and World War I Victory Medal this week at the Onsted American Legion Post. He was killed in action 94 years ago while serving with the American Expeditionary Forces in France.
