Walberg: Build the Keystone XL Pipeline

January 9, 2015
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg voted today for H.R. 3 to authorize construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. The vote came just hours after a major decision by the Nebraska Supreme Court to throw out a lawsuit challenging the pipeline's route in the state.

"Building the Keystone XL Pipeline will put Americans back to work and lead to a more secure energy future. After today's ruling by the Nebraska Supreme Court, President Obama has run out of excuses to block this important project and the economic benefits that will result from the pipeline's construction. Six years of delays is enough," said Walberg following the vote.

Congressman Walberg serves on the House Education and the Workforce Committee as Chair of the Workforce Protections Subcommittee. In addition, he serves on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. For more information on Walberg's work in Congress visit walberg.house.gov.
