Included in H.R. 1 is Rep. Walberg’s Protecting International Pipelines for Energy Security (PIPES) Act.

The legislation would amend the Higher Education Act to clarify that no funds shall be made available to a public institution that denies a religious student group any right similarly afforded to other student organizations because of the religious group’s beliefs, practices, or leadership standards.

Included in H.R. 5 was Rep. Tim Walberg’s (MI-05) Parental Rights Over the Education and Care of Their (PROTECT) Kids Act.

Walberg grilled TikTok CEO Shou Chew on ties between TikTok and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and data security of American citizens.

The FAIR Act raises the level of proof necessary for the federal government to seize property, reforms the IRS structuring statute to protect innocent small business owners, and increases transparency and congressional oversight.

The Education and the Workforce Committee voted to adopt the text of Rep. Tim Walberg's (MI-05) Parental Rights Over the Education and Care of Their (PROTECT) Kids Act during a markup of H.R. 5.

The bipartisan legislation will bolster American leadership by bringing key leaders and stakeholders together to create a unified approach in standards-setting for 5G networks and for future generations of wireless communications networks. 

“Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection is essential for families, farmers, and small businesses throughout Michigan,” said Rep. Walberg.
