Walberg Votes to Permanently Extend Historic Tax Relief for Michiganders

Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) released the following statement after voting for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which passed the House by a vote of 218-214.
"In November, 77 million people demanded change," said Rep Walberg. "Today, House Republicans delivered on that mandate to reverse four years of failed Democrat policies and extend the successful Trump tax cuts, which put more money back into the pockets of working families and empowered small businesses. The One Big, Beautiful Bill will rein in wasteful spending, secure our border, bolster our defense, and revitalize our economy. This generational investment will ensure that residents of Michigan's 5th District won't face a 27% tax hike at the end of the year and will increase take-home pay for a family of four by up to $11,700. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is pro-family, pro-worker, and pro-small business, and today's historic vote represents a promise made and a promise kept to Americans across the country."
