Walberg Votes to Support Our Troops and Veterans

June 25, 2025

Today, Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) voted in favor of the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2026. The legislation would provide $18 billion for military construction and family housing within the Department of Defense and $452.64 billion for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The legislation passed by a vote of 218-206.

"This critical legislation bolsters our national security and upholds our commitment to our brave servicemembers and veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country," said Rep. Walberg. "The bill includes vital provisions which will fully fund veterans' benefits, veterans' health care programs, and efforts to combat veteran homelessness. It will also improve the quality of life for our heroes in uniform and their families by addressing barracks deficiencies, investing in military family housing, and strengthening our facilities in the Indo-Pacific Region. Our servicemembers and veterans deserve our full support, and I remain committed to delivering on our promises to them."
