Chairman Walberg Praises Investigation into Antisemitism at Haverford College

Today, House Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) issued the following statement on the Department of Education’s decision to investigate reports of antisemitic harassment at Haverford College:
“I applaud the Trump administration’s decision to investigate antisemitic harassment and discrimination at Haverford. During the Committee’s hearing in May, Haverford’s president refused to provide any tangible steps the school was taking to protect Jewish students and address antisemitism. Her testimony underscored the grave failures of college and university leaders who allow antisemitism to run rampant on their campuses in direct violation of the law. From posters quoting the Hamas Charter to Jewish students being ostracized – we know Haverford has an antisemitism problem. It is unacceptable. Antisemitism has no place in our schools. The Trump administration is right to hold colleges and universities accountable for their failures, and I remain committed to working with the Department of Education to protect Jewish students.”
