Republicans are demanding records showing the extent to which the Biden administration used taxpayer money to defend its position that student-athletes are employees of the universities for which they play. Representatives Tim Walberg, R-Mich., and Rick Allen, R-Ga., made the request in a letter to Marvin Kaplan, the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) newly appointed chairman, and acting General Counsel William Cowen.

A local high school student was accepted to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, after receiving a call from his U.S. representative Jan. 6. Miles Brown, a senior at Hillsdale High School, checked his phone to find a voicemail from Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Michigan, who said Brown had been accepted.
