Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today for the 21st Century Cures Act, a landmark initiative that aims to unleash the promise of new innovation and speed up the rate of medical breakthroughs. The bipartisan legislation, which passed the House by 344-77, is fiscally responsible, with the funding fully paid for and subjected to oversight and review to ensure its efficient and effective use.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) welcomed Zachary Binroth, the winner of the 2015 Congressional Art competition for the 7th District, to Washington, D.C. today. Zachary is a rising senior at Jackson High School and he received first place for his charcoal drawing entitled "Interference." It features a woman who is spouting knowledge and a boy who struggles to remember everything he must learn.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today for the Protecting Seniors' Access to Medicare Act, which repeals the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) established under President Obama's health care law. The IPAB was created to consist of 15 members with sweeping powers to cut Medicare spending without any input from Congress.
