Jackson, MI—Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) will be holding a Job Fair in Jackson on Tuesday, June 9 to help connect job seekers with employment opportunities. Employers from across Michigan's 7th District will be on hand to accept resumes and talk about available job openings. More than 30 local employers are already scheduled to attend, with more expected to confirm their participation in the coming days.

"Creating long-term job growth in Michigan is my top priority in Congress and I hope this Job Fair will assist people in finding work," said Walberg.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) released the following statement after voting for the bipartisan Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act, which boosts resources for victims and strengthens law enforcement tools for prosecuting human trafficking. The legislation passed the Senate by a vote of 99-0 on April 22 and now heads to President Obama's desk.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today in support of the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which provides vital funding and authorities for America's military. The final House-passed legislation also included an amendment Walberg offered to provide the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction with the ability to conduct effective audits to ensure the proper use of the remaining American taxpayer dollars appropriated for reconstruction efforts.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today for H.R. 2029, the FY2016 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Bill, to ensure our military has the infrastructure they need, boost funding for veterans programs, and to make the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) more accountable. H.R. 2029 also includes a Walberg-sponsored amendment to boost veterans' job training and services to help them transition into the civilian sector.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg's (MI-07) bipartisan legislation to dramatically reform our nation's civil asset forfeiture laws to protect against unlawful seizures has been backed by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and Americans for Tax Reform (ATR). The Fifth Amendment Integrity Restoration Act (FAIR Act) was introduced on January 27 in both the House and Senate by Congressman Walberg and Senator Rand Paul.
