A Jackson County program that helps kids help themselves in avoiding drug abuse and addiction recently received a sizable federal grant.

U.S. Reps. Debbie Dingell and Tim Walberg are teaming up to co-host a veterans resource fair and town hall in Washtenaw County.

For a better understanding of the opioid epidemic in Lenawee County, U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Tipton, Thursday, embarked on a low-key tour to meet with various agencies within the county that are battling on the front lines of the epidemic.

Walberg introduced the bill called the Great Lakes Agricultural Stewardship Act recently along with Congressman Tim Ryan, a Democrat from Youngstown, Ohio.

“I am so proud of this district and proud to have the agriculture community which makes this the most diverse ag district in the state,” Walberg said.
