Today, Congressman Tim Walberg successfully offered and passed an amendment to H.R. 1309, the Flood Insurance Reform Act, that would assist homeowners adversely affected by new Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) floodplain maps. Since 2006, FEMA has been tasked to issue new flood maps across the country.
Today, Congressman Tim Walberg voted to cut more than $111 billion in federal spending this coming year, approximately $5.8 trillion over the next ten years, cap spending at below 20% of the U.S. economy, and require a vote on a Balanced Budget Amendment.
