Today Rep Tim Walberg announced that Kaitlyn Slack, an 11^th grader at Grand Ledge High School is the winner of this year’s Congressional Art Competition for the 7^th district.

Today, Congressman Walberg voted in support of H.R. 4310, the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which provides the pay, funding and authorities for America’s armed forces while rejecting the Administration’s attempts to further cut from our nation’s military.

Rep Tim Walberg voted today in favor of H.R. 4480, the Domestic Energy and Jobs Act. The legislation is an all-of-the-above American energy plan that will help job creators by embracing domestic energy production, reining in burdensome regulations and planning for America’s future energy production. The bill passed by a bipartisan vote of 248 to 163.

H.R. 750, Defending America's Affordable Energy and Jobs Act, reached a legislative milestone yesterday and picked up its 100^th cosponsor. The legislation would prevent the EPA from regulating greenhouse gases without Congressional approval and stop Washington bureaucrats from implementing a cap-and-trade program that will drive up energy prices on families and businesses.
