April 30, 2014

Washington, D.C. – Today Rep Walberg voted for H.R. 4486, the fiscal year 2015 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Bill to provide funding for our nation's military infrastructure, boost veterans programs and make government work better for our nations veterans. The bill passed with a bipartisan vote of 416 to 1.

"Our veterans and troops deserve the best in return for their dedication and sacrifice to our country and this bill represents another important step the House has taken to make sure our military and nation's veterans remain a top priority. Today's vote ensures our military is properly equipped, trained and that the housing and service needs of our military personnel and their families are met. It also guarantees veterans receive quality medical care, job training and other benefits they've earned while demanding accountability and transparency within the Department of Veterans Affairs to make certain it remains a good steward of taxpayer dollars," said Rep. Walberg following the vote.
