“I am satisfied that justice was accomplished by the death of Osama bin Laden at the hands of American forces. The terrorism bin Laden and his al-Qaeda associates perpetrated against the American people on 9/11 was pure evil. Justice is not always as quick as we wish, but it is certain.

Today, Congressman Tim Walberg continued his long-standing efforts to expand domestic energy production by joining with 265 of his colleagues to pass H.R. 1230, the Restarting American Offshore Leasing Now Act. H.R. 1230 requires the Secretary of the Interior to conduct oil and natural gas lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Virginia that have been delayed or cancelled by the Obama Administration.

This evening, Congressman Tim Walberg issued the following statement after his vote against a blank check debt limit increase. By a vote of 318 to 97, the U.S. House of Representatives rejected an increase in the debt limit that included no spending reductions or reforms.

This week Congressman Tim Walberg released the following statement on the Gainful Employment Rule:

"I am deeply troubled by the news of the Gainful Employment rule. We don’t need additional red tape that hurts the ability of millions of people to attend college and learn new skills in the next decade. Despite making my opposition known in a letter to the President and through amendment, the Administration has chosen to ignore Congress and move forward with this regulation. Unfortunately this time it will be to the detriment of many low-income students who need it the most."

Congressman Tim Walberg voted today in favor of H.R. 2, Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Act. Congressman Walberg co-sponsored the bill, which is a full repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and all health care and taxprovisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.

Today Rep Walberg voted in favor of H.R. 6726, the Congressional Pay Freeze and Fiscal Responsibility Act, to extend the current pay freeze for federal employees and Members of Congress for one year. H.R. 6726 passed with bipartisan support by a vote of 287 - 129.

"I am extremely disappointed after all the negotiations and effort that went into avoiding the so-called ‘fiscal cliff', the president and Congress again put off meaningful action to reduce spending and secure the future for our children and grandchildren.
