Jackson, MI – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) is seeking submissions from high school students in the 7th District for this year's annual Congressional Art Competition. The winning piece of art will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel to the U.S. Capitol, along with the winners from the other congressional districts across the country.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07), a member of the Bipartisan Task Force to Combat the Heroin Epidemic, cosponsored another bipartisan bill in his ongoing commitment to combat the heroin and prescription opioid epidemic. The Promoting Responsible Opioid Prescribing (PROP) Act, introduced by Congressman Alex Mooney (R-WV), removes a harmful provision from the Affordable Care Act that could offer payment incentives for doctors and hospitals to overprescribe opioid drugs.

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI), U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), and U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) introduced bicameral legislation to prevent a surge in costly federal regulations as a United States President's term comes to a close. The Midnight Rule Relief Act would protect hard working families and small businesses from significant regulations that are often politically motivated and imposed between Election Day and Inauguration Day.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg's bipartisan legislation, the Medal of Honor Priority Care Act, passed the House today along with a series of bills to support America's veterans and their families. The Medal of Honor Priority Care Act would place Medal of Honor recipients in the highest priority group used by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to determine eligibility for health care services. Currently, they are allocated to Priority Group 3 in the VA's priority scale.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today for the Iran Terror Finance Transparency Act, bipartisan legislation that strengthens congressional oversight of U.S. sanctions against Iran and prohibits the Obama administration from lifting sanctions on individuals or banks until certifying they are not involved in terror financing, human rights abuse, or the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
