Rep Tim Walberg released the following statement on the 225^th Anniversary of the signing of the Constitution:

"For 225 years the Constitution has been this country's bedrock. Our founding fathers wrote it not only to address the issues of their day, but with the clear intent that it was to be used to address foreseen and unforeseen issues in the future. I believe we must continue to honor and celebrate the Constitution's principles of federalism, commitment to freedom and protection of individual liberties."

Today Rep Tim Walberg voted in favor or H.J. Res 118, a joint resolution he co-sponsored, that will block the Obama Administration's July 2012 decision to allow states to seek a waiver from the work requirements central to the success of 1996 welfare reform law.

Today Rep Tim Walberg voted in favor of H.R. 3409, a legislative package designed to stop costly regulations which threaten jobs and affordable electricity.

Rep Tim Walberg presented Private First Class Frank P. Durkee's family with a posthumous Purple Heart and World War I Victory Medal this week at the Onsted American Legion Post. He was killed in action 94 years ago while serving with the American Expeditionary Forces in France.

Rep. Tim Walberg introduced two bills to ensure seniors and individuals with disabilities have access to affordable companion care by preventing the Department of Labor from placing costly regulations on families and job creators.

Rep Tim Walberg issued the following statement to commemorate Veterans Day:

“My thoughts and prayers go out to those that lost husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children and friends on September 11^th. We will never forget them or the first responders who risked their lives to save others. It’s also important to remember the brave men and women in our armed services who continue to serve our country and defend our freedom.”
