Walberg's COPPA 2.0 Advanced by Committee

Washington, D.C. -- Today, the House Energy & Commerce Committee voted to advance Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0), comprehensive children's online privacy reform introduced by Reps. Tim Walberg (R-MI) and Kathy Castor (D-FL).
“The bipartisan COPPA 2.0 is the product of years of work, and today’s passage out of the Energy & Commerce Committee is a massive step forward toward bolstering desperately needed privacy protections for children and teens online,” said Rep. Walberg. “I thank my colleagues on Energy & Commerce for their efforts and we will continue working to improve the bill and give young people the protections they need.”
