Walberg Votes to Strengthen our Military and Raise Troop Pay
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today in support of the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act, which funds the military, supports military families, gives our troops a much deserved pay raise, and helps keep the American people safe. The bipartisan bill passed the House by a 344-81 vote.
“Rebuilding our military to meet the complex and emerging threats of the 21st century is critically important,” said Congressman Walberg. “This bipartisan bill will strengthen our national security and begin to restore our military readiness to where it should be. Our nation asks so much of our men and women in uniform, and we owe it to them to ensure they have the necessary benefits, resources, and equipment to carry out their duties.”
Congressman Walberg serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Education and the Workforce Committee as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions. For more information on Walberg's work in Congress visit walberg.house.gov.
