Walberg Votes for REIN IN Act as it Passes House

March 1, 2023

Washington, D.C. -- Today, Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) voted in favor of H.R. 347, the Reduce Exacerbated Inflation Negatively Impacting the Nation (REIN IN) Act, which passed the House by a vote of 272-148. The REIN IN Act requires the Office of Management and Budget and the Council of Economic Advisers to publish the inflationary impacts of executive orders before they are enacted.

"President Biden’s reckless spending spree has fueled inflation, making life unaffordable for families across the country,” said Rep. Walberg. “The REIN IN Act provides better transparency on the inflationary impacts of executive orders, helping to limit wasteful spending which hurts the American people. Passing this legislation is an important step in strengthening our economy, providing relief to the American people, and delivering on the Commitment to America.”
