Walberg Votes for Plan to Lower Gasoline Prices

June 26, 2014

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Walberg voted in favor of H.R. 4899, the Lowering Gasoline Prices to Fuel an America That Works Act, to lower prices for consumers by expanding production of America's energy resources. Specifically, H.R. 4899 will require that the Administration move forward with new offshore energy production in areas containing the most oil and natural gas resources, remove government roadblocks and ensure resources from Alaska are developed and are transported quicker and more efficiently.

"Hardworking families cannot afford four-dollar a gallon gasoline prices. By unleashing our country's vast energy resources, we can lower gasoline prices and create good-paying American jobs. The President and Senate need to join us in supporting policies that create a healthy economy and lowers the cost the energy for everyone," said Rep. Walberg following the vote.
