Walberg Votes to Maximize Affordable and Reliable American Energy

December 3, 2015
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today for the North American Energy Security and Infrastructure Act, bipartisan legislation which will increase access to affordable and reliable energy by updating outdated policies and modernizing America's energy infrastructure. The landmark energy bill will also help protect our electricity system, strengthen our energy security, and improve energy efficiency and government accountability.

"Our policies need to reflect America's energy revolution so we can maximize the vast economic and national security benefits. America's booming energy resources means more good-paying jobs, lower energy prices, and less reliance on foreign energy sources. It's time to bring our energy infrastructure and policies into the 21st Century," said Walberg.

Congressman Walberg serves on the House Education and the Workforce Committee as Chair of the Workforce Protections Subcommittee. In addition, he serves on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. For more information on Walberg's work in Congress visit walberg.house.gov.
