Walberg Votes to Increase Access and Quality of Care for Veterans
July 30, 2014
Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Walberg voted in favor of the Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act, a bipartisan package to address problems within the Veterans Affairs (VA) and ensure veterans get the care they need.
"By increasing the number of doctors at VA facilities, removing poor management, and providing more choices for our veterans to receive timely care, this bill will help address the serious challenges our brave men and women are facing from the VA. Today we took an important step, but we cannot lose sight that necessary changes must be made at the VA to ensure that our nation's heroes receive the best quality care possible," said Rep. Walberg following the vote.
