Walberg Votes Against Senate Gun Control Bill

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) today released the following statement after voting against S. 2938, a gun control bill that undermines the Second Amendment rights of the American people.
 
“My constituents count on me stand up for their constitutional freedoms. I am particularly concerned with the red flag provisions in this bill that lack due process protections and are ripe for abuse. We should take steps to improve school safety and increase access to mental health resources, but trampling on the Second Amendment in the process is not the way forward.”
