Walberg: Time for Patient-Centered Health Care Solutions

February 3, 2015
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg released the following statement today after voting for H.R. 596 to repeal the President's health care law.

"Top-down mandates from Washington are standing in the way of robust economic growth and greater health care choices. The President's health care law is a prime example of how empowering government bureaucrats at the expense of individual families and their doctors is the wrong approach. Voting today to repeal Obamacare is just the first step towards putting in place patient-centered solutions that lower costs, increase access to care, and promote consumer choice—without the burden of government mandates," said Walberg.

Congressman Walberg serves on the House Education and the Workforce Committee as Chair of the Workforce Protections Subcommittee. In addition, he serves on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. For more information on Walberg's work in Congress visit walberg.house.gov.
