Walberg Supports Bipartisan Coronavirus Response Bill
Washington, D.C.—Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) today voted for the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, an $8 billion emergency funding package to confront the Coronavirus and prevent its spread. H.R. 6074 passed the House by a 415-2 vote.
“The Coronavirus outbreak is a serious public health issue and we are working to combat it with every tool available. We can’t let politics stand in the way of solutions,” said Walberg. “This bipartisan funding measure will bolster the aggressive response efforts underway and provide experts in the field with the resources they need for research, prevention, and treatment. We have to continue working together to keep our families and communities safe.”
While agencies government-wide fight the Coronavirus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone follow a number of prevention methods, including washing your hands often, avoiding touching your face, and staying home when you are sick.
