Walberg Statement on Tax Reform Framework

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) released the following statement on the framework announced today to fix our broken tax code and provide tax relief to Michigan families:
"The tax code is an unfair and complex mess that hasn't been overhauled in 31 years," said Congressman Walberg. "The framework released today begins the process of simplifying the tax code and allowing hard-working, middle class families in Michigan to keep more of what they earn. These reforms will increase take-home pay, boost job creation, and enable a more competitive and healthy economy. Meaningful tax reform is the key to growing good-paying jobs and opportunity for all American workers and manufacturers. I look forward to working with all my colleagues in Congress and the Trump administration to get the job done."
Congressman Walberg serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Education and the Workforce Committee as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions. For more information on Walberg's work in Congress visit walberg.house.gov.
