Walberg Statement on Passage of the Two Week Budget Extension
January 25, 2013
Today, Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI) released the following statement after the House passed a two week continuing resolution:
“The House Republicans once again stepped up to the plate today to do the work of the people. Unlike Harry Reid and the Senate Democrats who are willing to play political games while whistling through the graveyard, I worked with my colleagues in the House to pass two budget bills that included significant yet commonsense spending cuts, which would total over $100 billion if enacted for a full year. We must do what is necessary to stop the wasteful spending. We have to stop kicking the can down the road, cut spending long-term and confront the real budgetary problems facing this nation.”
