Walberg Statement on Advancing Critical Energy Pipelines

January 24, 2017
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) released the following statement in response to President Trump's executive action to advance the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines.

"Moving forward with these long-stalled pipelines is welcome news for American workers. Construction of these infrastructure projects will put more Americans back to work, bolster our nation's long-term energy security, and boost economic growth. Today's actions are a promising sign that America's abundant energy resources and job-creating opportunities will be unleashed instead of needlessly blocked under the new administration," said Walberg.

Congressman Walberg serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Education and the Workforce Committee as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions. For more information on Walberg's work in Congress visit walberg.house.gov.
