Walberg Presses Big Tech CEOs on Conservative Censorship

March 25, 2021

Washington, D.C.—Today, during a joint Subcommittee on Communications and Technology and Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce hearing, Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) raised concerns with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey about censorship of conservative viewpoints on their platforms. Click here to watch Walberg's questions.

"This is not the first time Big Tech CEOs are appearing before our committee, and it likely won't be the last," said Walberg. "The public simply does not trust Big Tech to handle content on their platforms in an unbiased way, especially as instances of anti-conservative censorship continue to make headlines. Big Tech companies are not the arbiter of truth, yet they remain unaccountable for picking and choosing which views to promote or silence based on their political preferences. These free speech concerns must be addressed."
