Walberg, Colleagues Call on Biden to Prioritize Fixing Supply Chain Crisis

October 21, 2021

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) signed a letter yesterday to President Joe Biden urging him to reconsider his partisan multi-trillion-dollar spending packages and instead focus on fixing the growing supply chain crisis. In the letter, signed by 160 House Republicans, the lawmakers highlight how President Biden's harmful economic policies are contributing to rising inflation, worker shortages, and bottlenecks in the supply chain that impede the safe and efficient movement of goods and people.

"We must address the global supply chain and ports crisis before Congress even considers additional social spending and taxation legislation. Our priority right now should be strengthening our Nation's economy and increasing our global competitiveness. The policies of your Presidency and party's leaders in Congress are exacerbating or simply ignoring the underlying supply chain crisis," wrote Walberg and his colleagues in the letter.
