Rep. Walberg Votes to Rein In Executive Overreach
March 12, 2014
Washington, D.C. – Today Rep. Walberg voted in favor of H.R. 4138, the ENFORCE the Law Act, to rein in executive overreach by putting a procedure in place permitting the House, or the Senate, to authorize a lawsuit against the Executive Branch for failure to faithfully execute the laws.
"Our Constitution is very clear that the people through their representatives in Congress write laws and the President enforces them. Today's vote is not a partisan one, as the ENFORCE the Law Act will bring accountability to the Executive Branch regardless of political party while giving Congress the clear authority to defend the Legislative Branch to help make government more accountable again," said Rep. Walberg following the vote.
