Rep Walberg Votes to Protect Patients from IRS

August 2, 2013

Washington, D.C. – Today Rep Walberg voted in favor of H.R. 2009, the Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act, which prevents the IRS from implementing any part of the president's health care law.

"Recent events have illustrated that not only is the White House not ready to manage the implementation of Obamacare but that the IRS is also unable to impartially enforce the healthcare law. It's chilling that the IRS, the very group that targeted individuals for their political beliefs, will be in charge of forcing Americans to buy Obamacare. This bill is one more step Congress has taken to help foster a healthy economy where individuals, families and Doctors - not Washington bureaucrats - have control over their healthcare decisions," commented Rep Walberg following the vote.
