Rep Walberg Votes to Protect Military Honor

January 25, 2013

Today, Rep Walberg voted for H.R. 1775, the Stolen Valor Act, which would make it a crime for anyone to knowingly benefit financially from lying about military service, records or awards.

"Our nation's servicemen and women deserve our highest respect and gratitude for the sacrifices they make in exchange for our freedom. One way to show our appreciation is through medals and decorations. Another is to make sure that those who misrepresent their service for personal gain are held accountable. The Stolen Valor Act accomplishes both," commented Rep Walberg following the vote.
