Rep Walberg Responds to President’s State of the Union Address

January 28, 2014

Washington, D.C. – Rep Walberg released the following statement after the President's 2014 State of the Union address:

"After five years of a struggling economy and poor job growth, the President's newfound call for a "year of action" is long overdue. I was disappointed the President didn't use this occasion to get behind proven bipartisan opportunities like building the Keystone Pipeline, SKILLS Act, or a dozen other House-passed jobs bills languishing in the Senate. If the President wants real action, he and the Senate need to start working with the House in helping improve education, create jobs, lower health care costs and help Americans take home more of their paychecks."
