Majewski Family from Monroe County Honored as Angels in Adoption
Bedford Township, Mich.—Congressman Tim Walberg has recognized Larry and Sherry Majewski of Lambertville as the 2017 Angels in Adoption from Michigan's 7th District. Congressman Walberg presented the award to the Majewskis on Sunday during a service at Bedford Alliance Church in Temperance.
“This award could not go to a more deserving couple than Larry and Sherry. Through their deep faith, selfless attitude, and unconditional love, the Majewskis opened their hearts and home to eight wonderful children—many with special needs. Their adoption journey is nothing short of remarkable and a shining example to us all,” said Congressman Walberg.
Since 2000, the Majewskis have adopted eight children from China. Their family of eight daughters now includes Mya, 17, Maylin, 15, Ivy, 13, Katy, 12, Aneyah, 9, Fayth, 8, Brynn, 6, and Bailey, 3, who was adopted in April 2017. The youngest five girls each have special needs, and three of them have spina bifida, including Bailey.
Angels in Adoption is a program of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) that provides an opportunity for Members of Congress to honor constituents who have enriched the lives of foster children and orphans.
