Congressman Walberg Reponds to the State of the Union Address

January 25, 2013
Following the President’s State of the Union address, Congressman Tim Walberg released the following statement:

“Tonight, I was happy to hear the President recognize that we must do more to increase American jobs and drive the country’s economic growth. Now it’s time to put words into action. We must make significant cuts in spending and decrease burdensome taxes and regulations so that the private-sector can again thrive and create jobs. The federal government can turn even targeted spending into wasteful spending. Getting Washington out of the way and allowing the private-sector to thrive once again is the way to get this country’s economy back on track. I look forward to working with the President to achieve these goals.”
