Celebrating Women's History Month

Washington, D.C. – In celebration of March as Women's History Month, Congressman Tim Walberg has been recognizing some of the incredible women from Michigan's 7th District who have made and are making a lasting mark on our communities. Highlighted below are three of them: Helen Jedele from Washtenaw County, April Demers from Monroe County, and Mary Smith from Branch County.

Welcomed dozens of original "Rosie the Riveters" to our nation's capital, including Helen Jedele from Saline, to celebrate these trailblazing women and their tremendous contributions to our country during WWII.

Wrote a Medium op-ed highlighting April Demers' life-changing work at the Monroe County Substance Abuse Coalition to combat the growing heroin epidemic and turn the tide of addiction.

Spoke on the House floor in honor of Coldwater resident Mary Smith, recognizing the countless hours she volunteered at the Community Health Center of Branch County and her many other contributions to the community.
