WWMT: Rep. Walberg, City of Bronson secure nearly $2M to improve wastewater treatment plant

The city of Bronson is set to receive nearly $2 million in federal funds to improve their wastewater treatment plant.
The funding is part of a larger $2.6 million infrastructure improvement project that comes as part of the government funding package (H.R. 5371).
"I was proud to vote in support of legislation to reopen the federal government and provide funding for multiple community projects within Michigan's 5th Congressional District," said Rep. Tim Walberg, who helped secure the funding.
Funding will be used for multiple upgrades, including: improvements to the return activated sludge and waste activated sludge pumps, the ferric chloride feed system, grit and chemical room ventilation, building improvements, and an improved computerized monitor and control system.
