WTVB: Walberg remarks after vote to end government shutdown

The government shutdown is over after nearly a month-and-a-half.

President Trump signed the funding measure that was just passed by the House Wednesday night.

Michigan 5th District congressman Tim Walberg said after the vote to end the shut down it was time to get back to work for the American people

The measure finally made it out of the Senate on Monday after a handful of Democrats joined Republicans to pass the spending bill, which extends funding until January 30th.
