Congressman Tim Walberg says he voted for two federal energy bills this week that he believes could help reduce expenses for Michigan residents.
The legislation focuses on expanding access to liquefied natural gas and calling for a review of U.S. refining capacity.
While the measures do not directly set energy prices, lawmakers say they are intended to support future energy production and stability.
Both bills passed the U.S. House on Wednesday and now head to the Senate for consideration.
