WKHM: Congressman recognized by Michigan Works!

U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg has been named the Michigan Works! Association’s 2025 Legislator of the Year.

The award recognizes Walberg’s work to expand access to short-term training programs, apprenticeships, and career and technical education. Michigan Works! leaders say his bipartisan approach has helped workers gain in-demand skills while supporting employers struggling with workforce shortages.

Walberg, who chairs the House Education and Workforce Committee, says efforts like the Working Families Tax Cuts are helping more Americans train quickly for high-demand jobs.

This is Walberg’s ninth term in Congress.
