WJR: Rep. Tim Walberg Comments on Government Shutdown Entering its Fifth Week

Pressure is ramping up on federal workers and those who rely on government food assistance as the federal government shutdown enters its fifth week.

The Senate is still divided along party lines over extending Affordable Care Act tax credits, the primary demand of Democrats in the negotiations. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is set for suspension on Nov. 1 due to a lack of funds, and federal workers like air-traffic controllers and TSA agents continue to work without pay.
