WILX: Michigan Congressman Tim Walberg reacts to Trump admin’s first moves

WASHINGTON D.C., Mich. (WILX) - Longtime Michigan Congressman Tim Walberg says he commends the Trump administration’s dismantling of DEI.

Walberg is on Trump’s team as the new Education and Workforce Committee Chairman.

“Especially in the area of K-12: turn as much as we can back to the states as originally intended. So, block grant funding, letting them have more flexibility to use the resources to meet the needs of each individual school district is what we’d like to see done,” said Walberg.

Walberg also supported the president’s stance on recognizing only two genders.
