June 17, 2025

Rep. Tim Walberg, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 5th district since 2011, has been vocal on several key issues through his recent tweets. These tweets reflect his positions on economic growth, fiscal responsibility, and energy security.

On June 16, 2025, Rep. Walberg addressed the issue of manufacturing offshoring and expressed support for legislative measures to boost domestic production. He stated that "Over the past few decades, we’ve seen the offshoring of manufacturing businesses. The One Big, Beautiful Bill will fuel significant economic growth and bring manufacturing back to the U.S."

The following day, June 17, 2025, he commented on fiscal matters by highlighting concerns over national spending. He tweeted that "For far too long, our nation has dealt with reckless spending that has driven the United States into a fiscal crisis. @HouseGOP has passed the One Big, Beautiful Bill to take advantage of a generational opportunity to restore fiscal sanity, invest in our communities."

In another tweet later that day on June 17, Rep. Walberg emphasized energy security as an integral part of national security. He announced his support for legislation concerning a critical pipeline: "Energy security is national security. I’m proud to cosponsor @RepMoolenaar’s Line 5 Act to protect this essential pipeline for the over 300,000 Michigan families that rely on it for their energy needs."

Tim Walberg was born in Chicago in 1951 and now resides in Tipton. He graduated from Taylor University with a BA and previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999.
