South Michigan News: Tim Walberg discusses district updates and policy priorities through recent social media posts

Rep. Tim Walberg, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for Michigan’s 5th District, shared updates on his legislative activities and priorities in a series of recent social media posts.

Addressing regulatory processes and their impact on families, Walberg stated on August 13, 2025: "We can support responsible environmental review without allowing endless lawsuits to stall the things American need and are asking for.

On August 14, 2025, Walberg highlighted a visit with local workers: "Millions of Americans depend on tipped wages to support their families. Tim Walberg has represented Michigan's 5th District since replacing Mark Schauer in Congress in 2011. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1999. Born in Chicago in 1951 and currently residing in Tipton, Walberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Taylor University.
