Brooklyn Exponent: Border crisis, Ukraine and Israel conflicts discussed during Walberg visit

Last Tuesday, U.S. Representative Tim Walberg (R-Tipton) hosted a community gathering at the Napoleon Township Building, welcoming the thoughts and ideas of area residents.
Approximately 75 people attended and discussed Congress’ response to the crisis at the southern border, the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, and our nation’s debt deficit, among other issues.
Congressman Walberg listened to concerns that were voiced regarding the horrific attacks committed by Hamas in Israel and the subsequent acts of antisemitism on college campuses across the country. He has, in response, contacted the Secretary of Education to demand the safety of Jewish students on campus.
The congressman also highlighted his efforts to reform civil asset forfeiture policy by introducing and advancing the Fifth Amendment Integrity Restoration Act, or FAIR Act. Rep. Walberg noted that the legislation has garnered widespread bipartisan support and was the first piece of legislation to be passed unanimously by the full House Committee on the Judiciary this Congress.
