Skyrocketing Gas Prices

Hearing From YouWhile Congress was out of session, I had the opportunity to host a number of community gatherings including ones in Blackman Township, Bedford Township, and Franklin Township. Major concerns included rampant cost of living increases, energy independence, the baby formula shortage, and of course the border crisis. I continue to advocate for the commonsense solutions including bills I've cosponsored to secure the border, unleash domestic energy, and rein in spending. I appreciate everyone who joined us, as well as the opportunity to hear what matters most to you. |
Working Towards Affordable EnergyIn Jackson, gas prices increased 20-cents from Wednesday to Thursday this week. It is unacceptable. As someone who commutes across the state of Michigan regularly, I am committed to supporting legislation that can provide Michigan families with reliable, and affordable source of energy. I have cosponsored legislation such as the American Energy Independence from Russia Act to unleash the abundant resources we have here at home. |
Visiting Monroe County Learning BankThis week, I had the honor of visiting the Monroe County Learning Bank and get an update on their initiatives to support workforce development and lifelong learning opportunities. Thanks to Vuncia Council for giving us an opportunity to have a look into the great work happening in our community. |
Ensuring a Quality EducationRecently, I had a good discussion with local education leaders from Lenawee County and Monroe County. We discussed ensuring school safety, empowering parents, and providing substantive and quality education. A special congratulations and best wishes to Addison Superintendent Steve Guerra and Morenci Superintendent Mike McAran on their upcoming retirements. |
